Many professional women can save so much time if they do just the one thing. Choose a simple hairstyle that requires little maintenance. Think about it, we do so much with our hair. We wake up, we blow-dry it, we use tools to straighten the hair or add curls, we add gel to keep it in place and it normally takes us more than the first try for us to be satisfied with how our hair looks.
Below are five easy hairstyles that will suit everyone. Pick the style that will go with your workplace. If you work in a lawyer's office you can keep your hair long and wear it in a chignon bun. If you dare to cut your hair, a bob or pixie cut means less time to do your hair than wash your face. A ponytail will help you to look sleek during a meeting. If you're a doctor or nurse, nothing beats the practicality of the ponytail and still keep you looking professional. If you're worried that a pixie cut would not be festive enough for after-hours, perish that thought by using accessories. And the pixie cut will show off those beautiful earrings. If you work in a trendy office, try a loose braid so that you have a different but modern look from everyone else.

The Pixie Cut
So many women are attached to long hair that they balk at getting a haircut shorter than their shoulder length. But there are so many fabulous women who have had a pixie cut. Off the top of my head I think Leslie Caron, Mia Farrow, Katie Holmes. Women who wear the pixie haircut are bold and confident. And getting your hair ready is such a breeze and you can look together in a few minutes. I wear the bun all the time. It's classy and fits in with almost any setting. When I want to go flirty, I use a wild ponytail. Good hub.
I had mid length hair but using a hot brush most days split the ends and dried it out.
I am lucky(or unlucky whichever way you want to look at it !!) to be married to a Gents hairstylist so he just cut it off into a very modern short Pixie look..I have had it short before but wanted a longer look which was feminine....however I have had so many compliments about my new shorter look that I have decided to keep it this way ....i was uncertain at 63 ,thought it may be a bit young but I have been assured it isnt ,so its here to stay ....for a while anyway !!

Nice hub. In India there are several woman make bun,some braid,some pixie cut, some have classic bob style.But most of the woman make braid of hairs.I like your hub. keep it up.
Just yesterday I went to my salon and got a pixie, much like the one pictured on Dame Judy Dench. Being in my early 50's, and still on the job market (with an interview coming up this week!), I felt the need for a serious style update. The old long bob I'd worn for over a year was looking shabby, and my hair's changing texture due to the normal aging processes was affecting how good I could make it look with the minimal effort I'm willing to expend.
I knew I'd made a good choice when a total stranger told me "That looks SO good on you!" Dame Judy and I can rock that cut from here to Timbuktu!

Short hair is great if you need to wash often, like after sweating in the gym, as it dries up faster. Love the pixie cut. Modern and professional.

I love pixie cut, and actually tried it on 2008, but was a little hard to fix with my thick hair. So, I settled with long mane, having ponytail most of the time.
I love throwing my hair up in a ponytail. So classic. But now that it's straight, I wear it down more often :) Maybe I'll try a bob sometime.
